The Olde Farmhouse Market

Friday, June 29, 2012

Last week I had my first experience as a vendor at The Olde Farmhouse Market in Maple Ridge.  It was a FANTASTIC experience!  I had such a great day and the energy was so good!  Leah and Barb, the two lovely ladies who decided to organize this event did an outstanding job.  There was some amazing vendors, and lot's of very talented people.  I wish I had more time to go around and meet all the other vendors, but I was so busy that I didn't get a lot of time to do so.  But, for those that I did get to chat with, it was great meeting you!

Here are some pictures of my booth right before opening!

This pink rose glass was a hit!  I sold all of it, as well as the white old farmhouse side table.

This gorgeous blue wing back chair sold to a friend of mine!

I was honored to be beside two different groups of ladies that I admire for their work and for doing what they love as well:)  Elisa from, was my neighbor beside me and was very sweet and encouraging.  Across me was the lovely ladies Noreen and Roxanne from, whom I had just met a few weeks prior.  They have a cozy little corner in the Home hardware out in Maple Ridge where they sell paint and a variety of refinished pieces and home decor as well.

This was a first time for me, but it definitely won't be my last.  I'm so inspired to continue and create even more!  Thanks so much for everyone who came out to the market!

I sold a large amount of what I brought but still have some items available.  Please email me for more information:)

These last few pictures and including the first on my post were taken by my very talented friend Dina of  I can not take credit for these, as I have NO talent in taking pictures:)

Me posing awkwardly because I hate having my picture taken:)

Burlap table runners - I still have some of these remaining!

Me and my lovely assistant of the day, Kariann:)

I still have this solid wood desk for sale!

And this very cute single size headboard and footboard are still available.

Lake House Pillows

For years my husband and I have been dreaming and working towards owning a summer cottage or cabin somewhere.  I know it will happen, I just wish it was soon!

I can wait until I can fill it with all my treasures, thrifty finds and personal touches.  I want it to be simple, cozy and fun.  A little rustic, vintage, farmhouse, cottage, seaside all in one.

One day, one day, one day!

But, for now I get simple pleasure in making these pillows for someone who will take them to their "Lake House" and I will live vicariously through them:)

Burlap Table Runners

Monday, June 25, 2012
I love these burlap table runners!  I originally had this tied version on my dining room table, which can either be tied or left with a straight frayed edge.

It also looks great over a table cloth as well.

Straight or tied Burlap table runner
But, then I decided to make another style with this ruffle and fell in love with this one:)

Ruffled burlap table runner
I didn't think I would like the ruffles in my space, but once it was on my table, I loved it.  It adds a little something, something to my room:)

I have 3 sizes currently in stock.  If you are interested, send me a message and I can let you know how the sizing works and if it isn't right for your table, I can always do a custom order!

Jewelry Frame

Cute butterfly jewelry frame with 5 hooks for necklaces and bracelets. Hang your earrings on the metal mesh. Perfect for displaying all your favorite jewels.

Red Wicker Bench

I brought this piece to the Olde Farmhouse Market I was in last Saturday, but sadly, it did not find a new home yet:)  I think it's super cute!  I have washed this with some Annie Sloan paint.  It is sturdy and the wicker is in good condition.

I think it would be perfect in a front entry to sit on and put your shoes on. Or at the end of a bed, or even out on a patio as a side table, or coffee table!

Twin / Single Red Vintage-Inspired Headboard and Footboard

Single / Twin Size Headboard and Footboard

Super cute red distressed vintage-inspired headboard and footboard.  Single / twin size.  Sorry, no side rails with this one.  In great shape and solid wood.  Painted with Annie Sloan paint and finished with a clear wax.

Like this piece? - I have a very cute red footstool that would look great at the end of this bed and a matching lamp too!

Black wood base with red burlap shade.  Measures 15" H.

Red wash wicker stool / bench.  Measures 26" w x 16' d x 17"h.

Tomorrow is the big day!  The is happening from 9am-4pm.  Here are the details below:

I am hoping for a successful & fun filled day meeting new people and sharing a common love for old things and craftiness.  A few of my pieces for the market have already found a new home!

I sold this super cute bicycle pillow yesterday,

as well as this old shelf.

Wondering what you will find?

Sadly, these will no longer be in my booth:( lol

But I still have lot's of other great pieces besides these adorable vintage amber dishes that were tragically destroyed yesterday:(

Here are three things you will find!

Sorry, I couldn't resist:)

Coffee or Cookies?

Along with these, I have a variety of furniture pieces including tables, chairs, beds, dressers, cabinets and stools.  Not looking for furniture?  Well then I have aprons, milk glass, vintage home decor, artwork, jewelry frames, chalkboards, table runners and of course lot's of throw pillows!  Who doesn't LOVE throw pillows?:)

Pillows, pillows and more pillows!

Tuesday, June 19, 2012
The is this coming Saturday from 9-4pm and I'm still working away on my last projects!

Pillows, pillows and more pillows.  I finally tackled the task of trying out image transfers onto fabric.  It took a few trials but I finally found a method that works for me:)  And it was well worth it cause, I LOVE them!

I might have to do a few of these for myself after.

Sneak Peak!

Thursday, June 7, 2012
There is 2 weeks left before the, and I've been working like a mad women trying to get everything done!  And if the market wasn't enough, planning both my children's birthdays parties and fathers day this month too!  EEEEKK!.  As a result, there is not much time for posting, once again....

Yesterday I was using mod podge for a project and was painting till 9pm at night.  This morning I was cutting more burlap at 630am!

Here's a sneak peak at a couple of things you will see in my booth:)

Super cute bright yellow "old school" rotary phone:)

And this little old side table I picked up this week in my spare time.  This was one of my projects late last night.

You will have to come to the market to see what color it is now!
