Inherited Buffet....

I wish I had taken a before picture of this piece!  This solid wood buffet has history and my father-in-law loved it.  He purchased it from an antique shop. 
I admit I was not completely thrilled when my husband announced we were inheriting this old buffet from his father.  But after a few changes and upgrades, including the removal of the upper glass cabinet and some decorative metal plates.  Sanding and some ebony stain, it is now sits in my dining room and is a very special piece in our house! 
I hope he is not entirely devistated that I gave it a bit of an update.... and like to think it's better than storing it out in our garage!

This honey-colored sleighbed takes on a whole new look painted black.  The classic style never outdates and is both rich and rustic with the new bold color and distressing.

This is a custom project I did for a client expecting twins!!!  The change table I previously posted caught her eye and with amazing luck, I managed to track down an exact match.  This solid wood change table / dresser was refinished with an antique white paint, distressed and finished with a water based clear coat for protection.  Clear glass knobs were added to match the other existing pieces in the nursery and a pefect choice for this baby chic piece!

This "oh so yummy" bedroom set includes a tall highboy dresser with 5 drawers, a 3 drawer mirrored lowboy dresser and a double-size bedframe.  All pieces are on rolling casters, have cottage-style spindle legs, dove-tailed drawers and gorgeous gold antique ring pulls.  The bedframe includes a headboard, footboard and 2 metal side rails. This set is solid wood  and has been refinished with a creamy white paint, distressed and finished with a water-based clear coat for protection.  In GREAT condition and a rare find to have all these matching pieces!!!
Measurements for the highboy are 19"d x 31'w x 45"h.  Lowboy, 18"d x 38"w x 35" h.  Headboard 48" h x 56.5"w and footboard 32" h x 56.5" w.

This gorgeous anitque solid wood 4 drawer dresser has been refinished with a black paint, distressed and protected with a water-based satin finish.  All drawers have dovetail joints and slide well.  New black ceramic drawer pulls were added for a sophisticated vintage look.  It measures 44" W x 22" D x 34" H.

This was a custom order for a customer.  This French Provincial dresser was painted a creamy white, distressed and finished with a oil-based satin finish for daily protection.  The original hardware was updated with a black finish.  The twelve drawers make for easy organization and plenty of storage.  This is a beautiful solid wood piece with dovetail drawers and sophisticated curvy lines.  It measures 57" W x 19" D x 32" H.
