The Olde Farmhouse Market

Last week I had my first experience as a vendor at The Olde Farmhouse Market in Maple Ridge.  It was a FANTASTIC experience!  I had such a great day and the energy was so good!  Leah and Barb, the two lovely ladies who decided to organize this event did an outstanding job.  There was some amazing vendors, and lot's of very talented people.  I wish I had more time to go around and meet all the other vendors, but I was so busy that I didn't get a lot of time to do so.  But, for those that I did get to chat with, it was great meeting you!

This pink rose glass was a hit!  I sold all of it, as well as the white old farmhouse side table.

I was honored to be beside two different groups of ladies that I admire for their work and for doing what they love as well:)  Elisa from http://homesweetnest.blogspot.ca/, was my neighbor beside me and was very sweet and encouraging.  Across me was the lovely ladies Noreen and Roxanne from https://www.facebook.com/welcomehomedecor?ref=pb, whom I had just met a few weeks prior.  They have a cozy little corner in the Home hardware out in Maple Ridge where they sell http://cececaldwells.com/ paint and a variety of refinished pieces and home decor as well.

This was a first time for me, but it definitely won't be my last.  I'm so inspired to continue and create even more!  Thanks so much for everyone who came out to the market!

Lake House Pillows

For years my husband and I have been dreaming and working towards owning a summer cottage or cabin somewhere.  I know it will happen, I just wish it was soon!

I can wait until I can fill it with all my treasures, thrifty finds and personal touches.  I want it to be simple, cozy and fun.  A little rustic, vintage, farmhouse, cottage, seaside all in one.

One day, one day, one day!

But, for now I get simple pleasure in making these pillows for someone who will take them to their "Lake House" and I will live vicariously through them:)

I love these burlap table runners!  I originally had this tied version on my dining room table, which can either be tied or left with a straight frayed edge.  

It also looks great over a table cloth as well.

I didn't think I would like the ruffles in my space, but once it was on my table, I loved it.  It adds a little something, something to my room:)

Red Wicker Bench

I brought this piece to the Olde Farmhouse Market I was in last Saturday, but sadly, it did not find a new home yet:)  I think it's super cute!  I have washed this with some Annie Sloan paint.  It is sturdy and the wicker is in good condition.

I think it would be perfect in a front entry to sit on and put your shoes on. Or at the end of a bed, or even out on a patio as a side table, or coffee table!

Super cute red distressed vintage-inspired headboard and footboard.  Single / twin size.  Sorry, no side rails with this one.  In great shape and solid wood.  Painted with Annie Sloan paint and finished with a clear wax.

Fantastic Market!

Tomorrow is the big day!  The http://www.theoldefarmhouse.ca/vintage-market/ is happening from 9am-4pm.  Here are the details below:

As I previously mentioned, there are going to be 32 vendors and some great vintage finds and handmade items.  As the saying goes, "one man's junk is another man's treasure", right?!  Well it is for me:)

I am hoping for a successful & fun filled day meeting new people and sharing a common love for old things and craftiness.  A few of my pieces for the market have already found a new home!

Pillows, pillows and more pillows!

The http://www.theoldefarmhouse.ca/vintage-market/ is this coming Saturday from 9-4pm and I'm still working away on my last projects!

Pillows, pillows and more pillows.  I finally tackled the task of trying out image transfers onto fabric.  It took a few trials but I finally found a method that works for me:)  And it was well worth it cause, I LOVE them!

I might have to do a few of these for myself after.

Sneak Peak!

There is 2 weeks left before the  http://www.theoldefarmhouse.ca/vintage-market/, and I've been working like a mad women trying to get everything done!  And if the market wasn't enough, planning both my children's birthdays parties and fathers day this month too!  EEEEKK!.  As a result, there is not much time for posting, once again....

Yesterday I was using mod podge for a project and was painting till 9pm at night.  This morning I was cutting more burlap at 630am!
